I started going to Complete Care Acupuncture and Wellness in 2017. This was my first experience with acupuncture and I really did not know what to expect. In the beginning I saw Sarah and Dr. Kim and then took a break when Covid hit. I have been seeing Brooke since returning in the Fall of 2023.
I have enjoyed the service received at Complete Care Acupuncture. The facility is clean and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful during check-in. I see Brooke for acupuncture; she listens and is understanding of my needs.
Last fall was my first experience with acupuncture. I had several appointments with Sarah and could not have been more pleased with the entire experience. Sarah took the time to really listen and understand my pain.
I absolutely love Complete Care Acupuncture. Brooke is compassionate and has taken the time to listen and understand my treatment goals. She doesn’t hesitate to try new things as needed and I really look forward to my sessions.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
