Skilled and compassionate. These are the words I would use to describe, in a nutshell, my experience with Michelle at Inhale Wellness Studio. I suffered from frozen shoulder earlier this year, and Michelle helped tremendously with my recovery.
Michelle is a highly skilled health practitioner. I have been receiving acupuncture treatments for complications from Lyme disease. This has been incredibly helpful with controlling headaches and inflammation in my joints as well as restoring some cognitive function that had been lost to brain fog.
I highly recommend Michelle for acupuncture therapy. She is a natural healer and very compassionate person who brings broad therapeutic knowledge to her professional practice.
I started working with Michelle about 6 months ago. I was very ill and had been working with traditional doctors for quite some time with no positive progress towards healing. I had never experienced acupuncture before and was extremely nervous.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
