From the reviews

I have a gym membership and do yoga, so at first I was reluctant to spend the extra money for Dr. Joe's personalized care. But I'm glad I did. I'd been having chronic lower back pain that moved to my hips as I aged. I wanted to learn new exercises to deal with the pain.

★★★★★ — Toni, Jan 2026

I worked with Joe in IDPT after having pains from knees and lower back. Joe identified the position I did incorrectly from deadlifts and he even identified my left leg and right leg moves in-identically.

★★★★★ — Marco, Sep 2025

I started to have left knee pain out of nowhere. Stoped playing basketball for almost a year because I was in so much pain when running. Went to a PT covered by my insurance and that didn’t do anything ! Weeks of PT sessions and no progress. Just exercises that masked the pain but didn’t really address it .

★★★★★ — Brian, Oct 2025

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Joe and his approach to physical therapy. From the very first session, it was clear that his focus was not just on alleviating my symptoms temporarily, but on truly understanding the root cause of my pain.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
