From the reviews

Idaho Medical Massage is the best massage therapy in Pocatello for chronic pain from repetitive work related movement. Amber takes the time to understand your body, history and goals. Her combined healing techniques have been more effective than anyone else I have been to.

★★★★★ — Lash, May 2025

I absolutely loved my massage I was struggling with back pain after giving birth. I would highly recommend idaho medical massage.

★★★★★ — Leionni, May 2025

There are a few things that set Amber apart from other massage therapists I’ve been to in the past. First, she is excellent in her efforts to pursue root causes of pain and treat accordingly. As such, she is always learning and trying new things. I appreciate that about her.

★★★★★ — Emily, Nov 2025

Amber is awesome! She has been nothing but a great help and a blessing since finding this place. I was referred here and every time I leave I feel very light and cloudy. She's both very professional and extremely knowledgeable.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
