From the reviews
This class was amazing. We took part of our team to Bend, Oregon to experience this technique. We were completely impressed with the instruction combined with the hands on practice in learning Gua Sha. It was taught very well. One of the best classes I have been to in the 15 years of having my LMT license.
As a Cupping Dynamics addict I have taken many classes with them this year. Besides the quality of information they empart on us sponges, they are dear colleagues and friends as well. They don't teach and go away, they are here for us forever and all ways.
I took a weekend Sports Massage class and can’t say enough good things about it! Amber was an extremely generous and knowledgable educator. The skills we learned were simple, easy to apply to a range of clients, and extremely effective.
This is the best ethics course I’ve taken in 20 years licensed as an LMT. it addresses what other courses don’t: conscious relationship with Self and a personal commitment to ethical inquiry, above and beyond simple adherence to law. Online, but live. Breakout rooms to go into deep conversation.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
