I just wanted to say how amazing Dr. King and his son Alex are! Ive been seeing them for over a decade now and probably will never stop. They have healed me mentally and physically throughout my young adult life. I herniated my disk a few years ago and wasn’t able to walk and with constant nerve/lower back pain.
Several years ago I saw Dr Houng King.More recently, after an excessively stressful year, I called to make an appointment and saw Dr Alexander King. It was the smartest move I could’ve made.
I've been seeing Dr. Alex King for nearly two years, and he's truly amazing. The acupuncture treatments helped me recover from Bell’s palsy after effects and have continued to provide both immediate and long-term relief for nerve pain and muscle weakness.
This is so my second experience receiving acupuncture treatment, and it is worlds away from my first. The Tri Service Clinic offices are clean and quiet with solicitous staff. There’s no question they know healing arts. I received a physical exam, deep tissue massage and then fell asleep during acupuncture.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
