From the reviews
Over the last 20 years, Inhave used Houghton Physical Therapy for several medical problems requiring physical therapy. Recently I had elbow surgery for bone spurs and pinched ulcer nerve. As is always the case, the staff was excellent in knowing my condition and ready with progressive increases to my therapy.
So grateful for the treatment I was provided by Eric and Todd after sustaining a significant calf injury from exceeding my training load as a triathlete. I had a robust goal to meet with a short timeline and Eric ensured my treatment plan was aggressive, but appropriate to get me back running safely.
Thank you to the amazing team at Houghton Physical Therapy & Wellness for helping our 15 year old avid soccer player get back into the starting line-up after petellar tendon surgery.
I recently completed 6 weeks of PT with Houghton and they are the best of the best. I loved the friendly welcome by Julie and Linda every time you walk in the door. PT by Tyler and especially Corey was above and beyond my expectations. They not only challenge you but they also make it fun each and every time.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
