From the reviews

I had nagging knee pain for many years due to several careless falls in the past and overuse during a recent oversea trip. When the pain worsens about 2 months ago, I was seriously considering contacting my orthopedic surgeon. Fortunately, a friend recommended Jason Chang at the Holisticare Physical Therapy.

Extremely happy with Holisticare PT. Just finished my 10th session today for tight hips, and there has been a massive improvement over the past few months. I mainly worked with Carlo who was motivating, kind, and allowed for fun sessions where I was pushed, but not in a stressful way.

★★★★★ — Zach, May 2024

This is one of the very best places I have been to for physical therapy. I have a congenital defect in my lower back and have been going to Physical therapy since I was 11 years old! Jason is a very professional therapist. He uses innovative methods in his practice that are very effective.

★★★★★ — Sherry, May 2024

Excellent care at South King Holisticare Physical Therapy! It is always punctual and quick. Dr. Jonathan Liem was extremely knowledgeable and provided professional, compassionate care. He always listen to my needs and provided solutions.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
