From the reviews
I've seen several different practitioners for acupuncture over the years, and all have been good experiences. Heather set a new bar in quality, from the energy of her space to her professionalism down to where she received her education, setting the tone for a great experience.
I was suffering debilitating Lyme’s Disease for 6 months to almost a year. The doctors tried different inflammatory medications, physical therapy, etc. and it was just not improving. Dr. Mark Stannard, my primary care physician, suggested Accupuncture and Heather from Holistic Healing.
I have been seeing Heather for over a year. I feel like she really takes the time to talk about how I've been feeling and any issues that I think may need to be addressed. Heather has a calming way about her and she is so knowledgeable about what she does.
Heather is absolutely amazing! She gave me the best acupuncture and cupping treatment today! It was just what I needed. She was attentive, and caring and I felt very comfortable in her care! I will definitely be back!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
