From the reviews
I seriously can’t recommend this clinic enough. I originally went in for cupping because of my back pain, and it helped so much. At the first appointment, he actually listened to what was going on and made me feel comfortable right away.
I injured my knee at work. I was having a lot of pain, and was unable to go up or down stairs, or sit for more than a few minutes without hurting. Matt, Kellie and Penny are awesome! They helped me get back to feeling good again. I really enjoyed my time here. The laser and cupping really helped too.
If you’re in need of physical therapy, I highly recommend High Desert Osteopractic Physical Therapy. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and truly listens to their patients. They do everything they can to help you achieve your goals and meet your needs.
When my Physician sent me to High Desert I was experiencing constant nerve pain and I had an annoying headache every day for nearly a year! Honestly, I was a little apprehensive about the whole deal. Well, being able to get rid of the headaches by my third visit was miraculous, life changing!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
