From the reviews

I started going to Hidden Rhythm Acupuncture about 6 weeks ago. I have mild, chronic back pain and have tried quite a few different methods to improve the pain which haven't really worked. I've done yoga, strengthening exercises, massage therapy, etc.

Craig is warm, kind, and laid-back, but also highly knowledgeable and professional. He remains present with you throughout the entire treatment and listens thoroughly, taking the whole picture into account to recommend the best treatment options. He’s an expert on the therapy itself and master of his craft.

★★★★★ — Bonnie, Jan 2025

5 stars for Craig Amrine I called Craig for the first time last week because I had a chronic skin irritation on my lower left arm. Frustrated from not being able to remedy the issue on my own after a month, I was able to schedule an appointment that same night.

★★★★★ — Candice, Sep 2018

I went to Hidden Rhythm for acupuncture for labor induction. It was my first time doing acupuncture, and Craig was professional and made me feel comfortable. He was attentive to my needs throughout the session, and is a really nice guy. His dog Penny is also very sweet.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
