From the reviews
I see Hye Sung Kim. I find her to be thorough and she makes sure all your health concerns are addressed. She is very accommodating and caring. Besides cupping, I especially like the acupuncture with the electric stimulation. I always feel much better when I leave the office.
This place is the place I never knew I needed and had access to in Ashburn! I saw Dr. Lee today and after enduring months of excruciating shoulder pain from stress, already feel better after one visit. If that sounds like an exaggeration, I promise it’s not.
Dr. Sun and Dr. Kim are the most professional and courteous medical providers I’ve ever worked with. I came to see them with tennis elbow, shoulder pain, and lower back issues from over playing tennis and swimming. Acupuncture, cupping, and deep massage, all in one session, brought tremendous relief.
This place is just what I needed. During my intake she listened attentively to my multitude of pain issues and concerns. The acupuncture session was amazing. I had never heard of acupressure but it felt great as well. And to top it off she also performed cupping.
Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Healthy Healing Acupuncture Ashburn LLC
Healthy Healing Acupuncture Ashburn LLC comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — a female practitioner is available here. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
