From the reviews
I went to Amanda for lymphatic drainage massage after a Lipo 360 surgical procedure at Nushape spa in Pompano Beach. I think I went for 4 or 5 weeks, 2 to 3 times per week.
massages are very personal and important to me. Amanda is so professional and Amanda she understands the stresses we have in our lives. I always leave her studio feeling like a new rejuvenated person. I actually feel a massage is a necessity because of our work and sometimes home lives.
I have rheumatoid arthritis and Ehlers-Danlos so my joints can be very achy. Amanda knows what pressure points can provide the most relief from symptoms and encourage mobility. She is continuously educating herself on the latest modalities. Her space is clean, warm and inviting.
Amanda is absolutely fantastic! I had my first session with her in April, and I can't believe I forgot to leave a review. I've now had two sessions with her, and both experiences were nothing short of amazing. She has a true gift, and her professionalism, skill, and calming presence make every visit exceptional.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
