What clients say about the cupping here
“I am always relaxed and tension-free after a massage session!”
From the reviews
Kathy is an amazing massage therapist. Her knowledge and skills are first rate. I am always relaxed and tension-free after a massage session! (I've even been known to take a snooze during one of her massages!). I would highly recommend The Healing Place if you are looking for a massage that's a step above!
I had my ever massage here. I loved everything about my expirence! Kathy was lovely and extremely personable. The atmosphere was so calming. The smells, sound, and even the paint color was calming! As for the massage itself, Kathy walked me through everything.
We loved everything about our experience! We were lucky to get an appointment while I was visiting in the area. Kathy was extremely personable and caring. Her atmosphere was so calming with the smells and sounds. Even the warm, soft table was relaxing. I would recommend Healing Place to anyone and everyone!
She was excellent! I zoned out completely by the end of my session. Focused on my concern areas as well. Very relaxing space. 😊
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
