My boyfriend and I enjoyed ourselves! It was an amazing experience especially it being our first time! Pete and Indigo were the absolute best, they made sure we were well taken care and can’t wait to book with them again!

Had the opportunity to get a massage after my last one two-three years ago during a vacation! My husband did some research, as we just moved to Alabama a few months ago, and got me a gift card to have a massage at Healing Haven.

Pete! He is absolutely incredible! I have had many deep tissue massages, and his has overall been the best! He is kind, professional and thoughtful. He asks what areas are bothering you and truly does focus on those areas while overall giving the best massage. It has been several months since I have been in.

An absolute sanctuary! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and the calming scent of the lobby immediately helped me de-stress. The massage was incredibly relaxing, and the therapist used amazing oil.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
