From the reviews
I was diagnosed with Bells Palsy in June 2025. I started acupuncture with Amanda 3 days after my diagnosis. She is absolutely amazing!! I saw her 2 days a week from the beginning. I had acupuncture and acupuncture with the Easton machine and wet cupping done on my face by her.
Samantha is very knowledgeable with the acupuncture, cupping, and dry needling. I have had a hand full of appointments and feel relief and relaxed each time.
I have been working with Amanda Rindal at Healing Grounds for several months. After completing 6 weeks of PT for a frozen shoulder I had made no progress. After several weeks of acupuncture and cupping I was experiencing much improved range of motion and reduced/nonexistent pain.
I love visiting Healing Grounds. I am gluten free and they have a wide selection of safe and delicious lunch options in their café. The staff is very knowledgeable about cross contamination and hidden gluten containing ingredients. The coffees, smoothies, and juices are also fantastic.
Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Healing Grounds Pilates Studio & Spa
Healing Grounds Pilates Studio & Spa comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — a female practitioner is available here. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
