From the reviews

I'm so glad I found Theresa! I have chronic pain in my neck and shoulders, so I've been to a many different massage therapists to seek relief. Theresa took the time before my massage to really understand my history and explain different techniques that she'd try and what to expect.

Most amazing massage therapist I've ever encountered (in three decades of looking). Theresa is incredibly skilled and works on helping you actually heal; This is not a process massage. Theresa has some kind of extra-sensory genius that guides her to problem areas. You go in knowing where you think the problem is.

★★★★★ — Eldon, Jan 2025

Theresa has a very well developed body sense and was able to quickly pinpoint multiple pressure points where my body had developed adhesions/restrictions. She did an amazing job of working on the points and getting them to release through gentle manipulation, pressure, massage, heat and persistence.

★★★★★ — Heidi, Sep 2024

Theresa put on a master class. She systematically isolated the individual muscles that were contributing to my areas of tension and pain leaving me feeling like I glided out of her office. Its absolutely one of the best therapeutic massages I've had. Her office was welcoming and easy to find.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
