What clients say about the cupping here
“Micheal has a truly calming presence that I believe allows his patient to relax into their own body and allow the practice of acupuncture to take place.”
From the reviews
Mike is one AWESOME guy. He is very competant in what he does and I can always tell the difference after he's done. His needling technique is very gentle and effective. Office vibes are great and his bedside manner even better. Do yourself a favor and go see this guy to improve your general wellbeing.
I have been a client of Micheal Clark’s for about three years. I didn’t really understand acupuncture when I first found myself in Micheal’s office. I just knew I had pain in my body that I wanted gone!
Mike is an amazing practicioner! You will always leave feeling better than how you came in. He takes the time to listen and digest what you say to him. He's understanding and finds ways to not only help address your concerns but also add valuable insight on your condition from his perspective.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
