From the reviews

Maitul is wonderful. I would recommend him to everyone I know. He listens carefully and patiently to every concern and question, and always has a thoughtful and kind answer.

★★★★★ — Ali, Nov 2021

A relative of mine who had a similar knee problem recommended Maitul Patel after he helped her walk again unassisted after only 3 months of treatments. I was diagnosed with a Baker cyst behind my left knee, tears in the meniscus and possible tendon damage from twisting the knee.

★★★★★ — Olivia, Oct 2022

Maitul Patel is highly knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. He listens carefully and is clearly very experienced at what he does. He helped me recover from a lower back injury that was preventing me from running. He recommended targeted exercises and stretches to build strength and help my muscles recover.

★★★★★ — Lucy, Oct 2024

I was diagnosed with meralgia paresthetica, numbness of my right thigh. I looked for a physical therapist near my home. After placing a call, I was grateful and very impressed with the immediate response I received from Maitul Patel. He verified my insurance and I started the first of 12 treatments within a few days.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
