From the reviews
It's very hard to describe the integrative approach that Marie takes to healing her patients, but it is not hard to describe the outcome: it works. She has worked on nearly everyone in our family - she healed my husband's Achilles before a half marathon, she healed my daughter's chronic knee issue (a diagnosis that no…
Marie is like no other! I have never experienced anything like it. She is smart, knowledgable, and has a peace about her. When I blew out my knee skiing, she worked with me to get stronger not only physically, but mentally too. She has a gift.
Marie takes healing in a totally different and more logical approach. Marie listens to things that cause the problem and not just the problem. Marie helps try to resolve the root causes which are often not obvious to you as the injured patient.
I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how grateful I am for Marie. She has been such a blessing in my healing journey. I originally came to her for GI issues, but what I’ve gained goes so far beyond that.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
