From the reviews

I am a 78 year old man who has been physically very active most of my life but never had physical therapy before; my PT experience is limited, so I have to add excruciating detail to explain my rating.

I cannot say enough good things about Julia Cassidy! From the very first appointment, she has been kind, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. She takes the time to truly understand what’s going on, and she tailors each session to exactly what I need that day.

★★★★★ — Rick, Jul 2025

I always have a great experience at Connections. Anthony is a great Physical Therapist. He always listens to any concerns that I have. I first started at the Holliston location and moved to the Medway location when he transferred there. He has helped me through post-op surgery physical therapy twice.

★★★★★ — Susan, Nov 2024

Connections physical Therapy is a place to go! The staff is very friendly as is the whole atmosphere that one can feel as soon as you come in. My therapist Carolyn Brooks was outstanding. I thank her for her patience to explain everything so patiently and thoroughly.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
