From the reviews
On the recommendation of a relative-client, I had my first 90-minute therapeutic full-body massage with Andrew Miller at Hand of the Heart Massage today and could not be more pleased! My last provider massages were out-of-pocket, so were limited to 15-30 minutes.
I have been coming to Dennis for massage for several years now. When Misty left many years ago, I tried several therapists at HOTH, and while all were good, Dennis was the right fit for me. His style of work, his ability to get into the tough spots, and his personality were what I needed.
Dennis is great about reminding me that my massage experience is all about what I need. He’s attentive to my problem areas, mindful of pressure, and always adds a dose of interesting and entertaining conversation. Marci always goes above and beyond to coordinate and try to solve any insurance issues that arise.
I had my first massage with Jacob and he was very intuitive. He is also very easy to talk to. He takes direction well and worked on the areas that really needed attention instead of going on autopilot like many of the therapists I have encountered. I feel so good today.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
