From the reviews

After starting my therapy at home after knee replacement surgery, I transitioned to Valir outpatient therapy services. After completing my first week there I can say I am very happy with choosing to use them. It is a friendly experience from the minute you walk in the door.

I have been to a few physical therapy establishments and this by far is the BEST! After my surgery I had a hard time even lifting my leg out of bed without assistance. They gave me the tools to be more independent. They helped me be able to get stronger faster.

I really enjoy going to PT everyday. Everyone is very kind and helpful. They truly want to help you get better. It is a wonder environment/atmosphere. They always have great music which helps with therapy.

Valir is a reputable and professional physical therapy practice. When I had surgery, it was in Norman but I live in Duncan. The doctors in Norman knew what physical therapy place I should go to here in Duncan. They didn't hesitate, which makes me feel they actually know them.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
