From the reviews

Nancy is the sweetest person and knows all the points for healing. I purchased the 3 visit package with 2 cupping sessions for a phenomenal price. I had a locked right shoulder and after 3 treatments I can move with no pain. This injury is from years ago and came back to haunt me in the past 7 months.

★★★★★ — Mike, May 2024

Dr Nancy is great! My husband had a full hip replacement in April of this year and started suffering from neuropathy on both feet due to nerve damage from diabetes. He was also suffering from his shoulder rotater cuff & had trouble lifting his right arm.

★★★★★ — Beautiful, Nov 2023

Dr. Nancy is an Intuitive. You are in good hands with her. I am so grateful I found her. Will definitely recommend her to anyone who'll listen to me. And I thank God my insurance covers acupuncture. Thank you ever so much for your tender loving care, Dr. Nancy!

★★★★☆ — Ciru, Jun 2024

Nancy is great! I had back and leg pain and after my sessions the pain began to go away and then was completely gone. The sessions are very very relaxing and has not only help to get rid of pain but has helped with my stress level and sleeping better. I leave there completely relaxed and pain free.

Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Guo Chinese Medical Center

Guo Chinese Medical Center comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — ask whether that can be arranged. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
