From the reviews
I am so grateful that I found Emden to help me with my pregnancy related pain. She is highly experienced in women’s health and makes sure that her clients feel comfortable and heard. I look forward to my weekly treatments which include acupuncture, cupping, and massage.
Emden at Green Willow Acupuncture has been wonderful to work with. I began seeing her for fertility support. She was thorough and attentive in gathering information to come up with a plan. Miraculously I was pregnant after just two visits with Emden.
I'd never done acupuncture before but was recommended giving it a try early in pregnancy to help with nausea and other symptoms. Emden is so welcoming and makes you feel so comfortable.
I have had the pleasure of seeing both Emden and Rob. It's rare to find healthcare providers who truly make you feel heard and seen. Most recently, I have been working with Emden throughout my IVF and pregnancy journey. I always leave her appointments feeling better than when I came in.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
