From the reviews

I started coming here to get help with chronic back pain & while I was sore from physical therapy, and it was exactly what I wanted in a massage place: effective, simple but relaxing, more therapy than spa. The therapists are great! I see Phoenix monthly; she's a pro at the kind of bodywork I need.

★★★★★ — Lily, Sep 2025

Evan was fantastic! Very in tune with my needs and a calm kind presence. Best deep tissue when requested. I’ll definitely request Evan each time! I’d gone here before and had a fantastic experience with another practitioner, but she has moved. I believe Bodywork’s has the best in town!

★★★★★ — Samantha, May 2025

Jesse really helped relieve the pain in my shoulders and wrist after a skiing accident in the past that has flares ups of inflammation, pain, and difficulty moving my wrist and upper shoulders post ski trip. In the community of Bend I would highly recommend this place and Jesse for you skiers/snowboarders out there!

★★★★★ — John, Aug 2025

A very welcoming, warm atmosphere with friendly folks who are happy to see you! It’s in a house, so just walk in the door and then a few steps to the back room office and someone will be there to welcome you.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
