Update 09/22/ Mind blown, sinuses clear. I had been battling horrid sinus congestion and felt lousy every morning. It had gone on long enough and I was ready to call the doctor. Nothing I was trying worked. I called Jessica the night before my scheduled to give her a heads up. She welcomed me in despite my cold.
Green Pastures Holistic Center is Amazing! Jess is the best! She is very knowledgeable and great at what she does! I have had a few deep tissue massages with lymphatic drainage plus cupping! Such a wonderful experience! I always leave feeling relaxed! My favorite place to get a massage!
My experience with Jessica at Green Pastures Holistic Center was a solid 5 stars. It was my first professional massage and I felt completely comfortable and at ease with her. The first thing I noticed was that her aura was welcoming and so was the work space. I still recall the smell of warm spices.
I have had several appointments with Jessica for both foot reflexology and full body massages. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Jessica doesn't see you as a customer, she sees you as a human. She genuinely cares about how you feel and what is going on with you.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
