From the reviews
I had a fantastic experience getting cupping done at Great Wall Chinese Medicine! The staff was professional and made me feel completely at ease throughout the process. The clinic had a calm, welcoming atmosphere, and the treatment itself was both relaxing and effective.
For two years, I suffered from serious skin symptoms on my feet. Dryness, cracks, itchyness, and inflammation from internal dampness, it totally affected my daily life. I've been searching an alternative treatment since then and decided to look into Chinese Medicine. I'm so glad that I found Dr.
I'm writing to share my incredibly positive experience with acupuncture and moxibustion for managing PCOS and hormone imbalances. For years, I struggled with the various symptoms, trying countless different approaches with limited success. That all changed when I began treatment with Dr. Xiao.
Life-Changing Care at Great Wall Chinese Medicine Walking into the clinic, I immediately felt welcomed and genuinely cared for. Dr. Xiao listened carefully to my health concerns and created a customized plan that included acupuncture, herbal remedies, and lifestyle suggestions.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
