This place is so calm and relaxing! The staff are awesome! Patient, friendly and very helpful! I specifically want to recognize Esme’ she did some cupping on my hip- where I had been having constant pain for about a year- since the cupping, along with massage, I haven’t felt any of the discomfort and I haven’t needed…

Finding Golden West right here in Bosque Farms has been amazing! Yes....I had been recommended earlier, but after the Co-Vid fiasco...I no longer wanted to make the drive into Albq., so I finally made the call, and SO appreciate having them local.
Several years ago accupuncture changed my life, and Dr. Shain at Golden West has expanded on that. She is so knowledgeable, intuitive and kind that my treatments are always a pleasure to experience. What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
