From the reviews
Dr. Xu is a very good acupuncturist. She treated my back pain with a very extensive treatment of cupping and gua sha. The treatment not only relieved me of body aches, but also reduced my headaches, my anxiety and my depressive symptoms at the time.
Gloria does an excellent job of relieving my pain, stress and muscle soreness by using acupuncture or cupping. I highly recommend her services.
Because of Gloria I had the fastest and easiest baby delivery ever! When I met Gloria she had just become a new mom (8 month old baby) and she looked great (slim, healthy, rested). The week I was due to deliver my baby I visited her twice.
Dr. Glory is truly an amazing human being and an exceptional acupuncturist. She is patient, humble, and a wonderful listener who genuinely cares about her patients. She is always there to support you and help you feel better, every step of the way.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
