I had a wonderful experience at this massage shop. Booking an appointment through their website was super easy and convenient, which I really appreciated with my busy schedule. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly—I believe the man who helped me was the owner.
Before the massage session began, the professional asked me for my preferred level of intensity. I was so glad they were also able to accommodate to my needs and provide a “softer” massage to help me relax and take a nap. Their hot stone massage was also very relaxing and did not cause any discomfort.
I got the deep tissue massage after experiencing tightness in my upper back, traps, and shoulders from stress. Once the masseuse started working on those areas, I felt an instant sense of tiredness be relieved from the muscles above my scapula. I felt the effects from the massage all day and felt so much more relaxed.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
