From the reviews
I've been a caregiver for a family member for over a year. I was feeling tired and stressed. Then I remembered a friend from The Breathing Room Yoga Studio, Diane, who told me where she received wonderful massages.....at Gifted Hands. So, I called for an appointment and promptly received a call back by Jodi.
Jodi is truly wonderful. It’s not just her hands that are healing, it’s her whole energy. She is kind, thoughtful, and always checks in before each visit to see what’s new so she can tailor the massage to any new aches or pains.
The calm and relaxing atmosphere hits you the minute you walk into her room. I love the decor and soothing environment she has created. I truly enjoy the fact that she has a wide variety of scents that she offers such as lemongrass, my favorite.
I asked Jodi if she would be willing to do a simple couples massage class for me and my boyfriend, and she happily obliged. She was so receptive to the idea and made it fun and educational—massaging each of us while guiding our partner to practice alongside her.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
