From the reviews

I recently went to Dr. Jae this weekend with my family and we all had an amazing EXPERIENCE! His kindness and expertise in acupuncture was great! I felt no pain and appreciated this knowledge on nutrition and life style. My mom repeatedly told me he was absolutely kind and enjoyed it as well.

I’m so grateful to have found Dr. Chu at Fullerton Acupuncture & Herb. He is incredibly kind, professional, and truly cares about his patients. I originally came in for muscle pain and body aches, and now the pain is completely gone — even my skin condition has improved!

★★★★★ — Dr., Oct 2025

I am so grateful I found Dr. Jae! He was my first experience receiving acupuncture and it was wonderful. He is so kind and truly puts you at ease. I came in for a torn rotator cuff that was not healing after two Cortizone shots. I have gone to Fullerton acupuncture four times now and it truly is helping.

★★★★★ — Andrea, Jan 2026

Dr. Jae is wonderful and I am so happy I found him! He is a great listener and wants to understand the big picture to help in the most effective way. I am always deeply relaxed after treatment.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
