From the reviews
I could not be more pleased with my engagement with Foundation PT. I have had a long history of physical therapy following and injury many years ago and I have been fortunate to have excellent PT- Steve Poulin and his team have met the mark.
I have been a patient with Steve for 10 years. He helped me after rotator cuff surgery in 2015 and then after R knee replacement surgery in 2018. He is a therapist I trust and feel comfortable with, knowing that he is up to date on current modalities of treatment.
I came to Foundations PT after partial knee replacement and “graduated” with full range of motion earlier than expected. Julie was fantastic while guiding me through the recovery twice a week, it was like getting together with a friend.
Quite late in writing this review but my unequivocal vote of confidence in Steve and the therapy he provides. I brought my mother for PT for a few weeks and based on our experience, absolutely recommend this practice for any PT needs. Steve is very skilled and personable, and quickly puts the patient at ease.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
