🧑‍⚕️ skilled, knowledgeable practitioner 6 mentions

“I have been seeing Isaac for about a year for a couple different reasons and have experienced relief and improvement for everything he has treated me for.”

👋 welcoming to first-timers 2 mentions

“This was my first time using acupuncture & I have to say, I can't believe how much better I feel.”

From the reviews

Have heard great things about Isaac, but my experience at Mended Roots has been with the meditation class led by Hugh, a decades-long student and practitioner of many forms of meditation. Hugh is a superb instructor - humble and a good listener whose sole interest is in sharing his knowledge to help others.

I have much experience w/ acupuncture having been licensed myself. Isaac is a great acupuncturist w/ excellent needle technique, you barely feel the needles at all. He also is knowledgeable about Chinese herbs which augment the acupuncture treatment and can help resolve many conditions.

★★★★★ — Pete, Mar 2021

Isaac is fantastic! I’ve been going to see him for a few months now and consistently have great experiences. I’m not a huge fan needles but Isaac does a great job calming me down. He is very thorough in his explanations and is always willing to answer any questions I have.

★★★★★ — Peter, Dec 2021

After a not so great first impression of acupuncture at another practice, I wasn't sure if this was for me. Isaac completely changed my mind and has helped me alot with my chronic back/neck pain and headaches. I highly recommend going here if you are curious about acupuncture or other alternative chinese treatments.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
