From the reviews
I went to Dr. Katie for a pinched nerve in my neck and reoccurring lower back pain. She was extremely attentive and helpful. Did some dry needling and cupping and learned about some posture correcting exercises. My back and neck feel significantly better. I will be going back to Dr.
I have been experiencing tightness and limited mobility in my upper back, specifically on my right side. Dr. Katie really listened to me and tried several techniques to help reduce my tightness. I felt comfortable with her immediately and will definitely be going back.
I am trying to not sound cliche, because I have read reviews before that almost sound too good to be true, but after the 1st visit with Dr. Katie, I’m a true believer. I have had lower back issues my entire life, (65 year young now) and have learned to live with the pain. That is, until Dr.
I am an Ultrasound technician with arm pains from repetitive movements from my job. I am also a runner with shin splints. Being an active person and having these annoying discomforts that can hinder my performance has been super frustrating. Getting dry needling from Dr. Katie has been the answer to all my issues.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
