Mary is truly one of a kind. My overall experience from start to finish was excellent. I’m traveling from out of town and was in desperate need of a reset. I contacted Mary via her website on a whim Tuesday night and was booked within an hour the following morning. Now on to the actual services....

Hands down the best acupuncturist in Asheville! Not only do you get acupuncture, but Mary is also gifted in energy healing, massage, Chinese Medicine, cupping and more. She will customize your treatment according to what your body needs that day.
I was unable to use my left shoulder for the simplest of tasks and had constant pain and numbness in my arm and hand. It was interfering with my sleep and my work, everyday! My husband told me to try a Chiropractor......and I relented. I wasn't able to obtain any relief from the chiro, however they referred me to Mary!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
