From the reviews

Asheville Holistic Accupunture is a gem. I regularly seek acupuncture and cupping modalities for maintaining pristine and vital health. Whether it is routine maintenance, acute pain, sickness, etc. There is no other place I need to seek, I am happy here.

I have only been able to go in for a few sessions, but I can already feel a difference. Tyler is very knowledgeable when it comes to holistic therapies. As a nurse, I benefit from his cupping sessions because I definitely do not practice proper body mechanics at work. Thank you for keeping me from an early retirement.

★★★★★ — Chiffon, Feb 2025

My baby was breech at 36 weeks, and my doctor scheduled an ECV for 37 weeks. He recommended I try moxibustion in the meantime. I had two appointments with Tyler, and when I showed up for my ECV, baby had already flipped head down! I literally cried with joy and relief. Tyler was amazing to work with.

★★★★★ — Sterling, Jan 2026

I started coming to acupuncture 5 months ago for a gym injury and was blown away by my experience. Tyler is exceedingly knowledgeable about what he does and really takes his time to ask questions and explain everything simplistically.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
