I chose this place because you can make an appointment with a vaccinated massage therapist. I was a massage therapist for 10 years and I tend to be unfortunately picky about massage- and I had a great experience here.
Visit: 11/6/2024 I bought a Groupon for the Reflexology massage because I have heard so many great things about its benefits. I have been experiencing consistent lower right back pain for 4+ months.
Everyone at Epic Bodyworks was friendly, professional, and helpful. Since I was from out of town, I had no prior knowledge of the place, and I was pleasantly surprised. My massage therapist, RheAnnon, does a wonderful job.
I got a gift card for three massages for Christmas and this was my first "real" professional massage ever. Ohhhh, it was so good! Rhiannon was amazing - very friendly and very receptive to my letting her know when the pressure was just right.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
