“Melissa thoroughly assessed and addressed my specific concerns providing me the tools to help correct my postural problems, so I can continue my physically demanding job and hobbies.”
“In comparison to the therapy I was getting prior, Melissa has done a lot more good so far and is really great at explaining what is wrong and things to do and not do.”
“I left the first session with Melissa understanding what was going on, her plan of treatment for me and what I needed to do at home to facilitate my recovery.”
“With much of the pain gone, I had a good night sleep for the first time in a while.”
From the reviews
Melissa was very thorough and offered a lot of helpful tips and information for me with my leg problem. She did both manual work and laser which seems like it will be very helpful. I would highly recommend Empower Physical Therapy & Wellness. —————————— Update: My adductor in my leg is coming along nicely.
I have been seeing Melissa at Empower PT for several months now and she has been amazing. From the very first appointment, I could sense a distinct approach that set Empower apart from other PT providers I've seen in the past.
I couldn’t possibly say enough positive things about Melissa at Empower PT. I opted to pay out of pocket after a bad experience with the PT that I’m able to get through my insurance…and I’m so glad I did. I’ve recovered better after this THIRD surgery than I did after my previous two.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Anna. I came to see Anna after pulling out my back. I was in so much pain that I couldn't stand up straight or walk far, and had to call in to work. I was desperate for relief and Anna was my saving grace.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
