From the reviews
Emily is a great physical therapist who I highly recommend to anyone! I chose her because she has excellent references, came highly recommended, her educational background speaks for itself, and she has extra certifications in orthopedics and dry needling.
Emily is awesome! I’ve only been seeing her for a few weeks, but between her acupuncture skills and her PT treatment plan, I am already feeling the benefits of her skill, knowledge and expertise. I spend a lot of time running, doing CrossFit and hiking.
Dr. Emily Brown is a rare combination of professional excellence and an endearing personality. Dr. Emily doesn’t just ask you what’s wrong, or where the pain is. She asks probing questions to understand the big picture. She doesn’t just make the pain go away.
Emily’s passion to make every patient better and stronger is truly inspiring. She has a very welcoming personality and will make sure to listen to your goals so you can achieve success.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
