From the reviews
I booked a consult with Dr. Kim after reading all the incredible reviews. I have several things going on after a trauma and was at a point where I needed someone to assess the body as a whole, not just by body part. I was quite a skeptic of Eastern medicine until now! Dr.
Oh my goodness, so much to say about Kim at Elevate Wellness. I was referred to Kim by a mutual friend as I was complaining about my arms and hands hurting. I have tried so many treatments without any relief until I met Kim.
Very impressed with Kim's professionalism, attention to detail, extensive knowledge and her beautiful (very clean) office! My first visit was a very in-depth conversation about my medical history and current ailments and each time I visit she takes the time to listen and ask questions about how I'm feeling.
I’ve been receiving treatment from Dr Kim, and I couldn’t be happier with the care and progress I’ve experienced. This was my first time trying dry needling, and Kim made sure to explain the process in detail beforehand, which really helped ease any anxiety I had.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
