This was my first time at Elements in Woburn but not my first massage. Maurice asked what I wanted to receive in a massage and gave me a very focused massage. He seemed to find the trouble spots and spent a lot of time working out the muscles that needed it most.
I’ve had a few decent massages at other Elements locations (and a few bad ones). I had an appointment today with Katherine and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Relaxing but with great pressure and flow. Highly recommend seeing her!
I have visited numerous elements across the north shore and the Woburn MA location is by far, the best. The rooms have the best lighting and staff is very welcoming . Reina is my go to. Working in the trades and as a semi-professional beer league hockey player, my body takes a beating. Reina is exactly what I need.
I was able to make an appointment for a 90 deep tissue massage the day before my appointment, which was a win in itself. It's hard to find last minute ones sometimes. My masseuse was Day; he was absolutely fantastic and has such a calm presence.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
