Dr Vel was highly recommended by a chiropractor in Grayslake. I had specific goals of healing. Dr Vel is a great listener and supported me with my desire to make changes and improve the quality of my health and life.
This Summer I feel into some really bad health. My main symptoms were wide spread skin rash and joint pain. I was seeing several specialists (immunologist, rheumatologist, physical therapist) and really getting no where except stuck on steroid drugs. I began seeing Dr.
Dr. Vel has seen my son on many occasions for different presenting concerns. He was able to treat my 9 year old for a strained neck muscle which kept him out of school. He made my son comfortable with positive praise and mindset while he worked to treat his ailment.
Dr Vel is absolutely wonderful! He cured the issue I was having in 5 days, he is a miracle worker. My internist and ob/gyn just kept prescribing me medications that were either not covered by insurance or did not help. Dr Vel, takes the time to listen and helps immediately.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
