From the reviews

Dr. Diane is AMAZING! After going through multiple failed fertility treatments, I decided acupuncture would be worth a shot. Knowing what I do now, I wish I would have started treatments with Dr. Diane before undergoing emotional and expensive fertility procedures!

★★★★★ — Amber, Jun 2017

I truly wish I could rate East Winds Acupuncture even higher than five stars! I have been going only since the beginning of July but can say that my experience with both Dr. Diane and Dr. Sarah has changed my life! Every time I leave I think to myself, “How was I not doing this sooner?

I've been seeing Dr. Diane for well over a year, since my sister recommended her for my poor immune system and other chronic conditions, even though I'm highly active. Dr.

Dr. Diane has been such a huge part of my athletic career and life. She has been able to help treat me through recovery from hip surgery, many minor injuries, as well as digestive and any body issues or concerns I am having.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
