From the reviews

My back had been swollen for 10 months after a car accident, then I found East- West Natural Medicine. Saiko was my acupuncturist who I started to see weekly for quite some time. She provided the best acupuncture I have had in my entire life, and I've tried about 10 different acupuncturist.

I have been going to Nicole since the firestorm took everything. PTSD is real. Nicole is so healing. Today she used a new treatment for trauma and I feel 100% better! Thanks

Jessica and Nicole are the best in what they do. They offer more than just acupuncture, which is one of the reasons I chose them to work with. The office environment is in itself healing as it is beautifully designed and to assist anyone who walks in the door to feel more relaxed and peaceful.

Nicole's knowledge of acupuncture and skill are only rivaled by your pitch perfect intuition. I have been cared for by some good acupuncturists in my life, but I have never been treated so effectively. She has helped me recover from very challenging illnesses and now, she helping me grow into health.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
