“I have a chronic pain condition and I don't know about you, but acupuncture from a supremely skilled provider is far preferable and better than pills, pills, pills.”
“However, I chose to continue with Rina because she truly listens, pays close attention to my concerns, and goes above and beyond to treat me.”
“I’ve had many massages with many different providers over the years, but I will keep coming back to Yaara as I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed!”
“Rina is very knowledgeable, very professional, very welcoming and friendly.”
From the reviews
Maria is truly wonderful. I don’t have any major health issues, but perhaps because of a slight misalignment in my posture, I had always felt a heaviness and tightness on the left side of my body and face.
I have had several therapeutic massages with Yaara at the Glen Park location. Each massage better than the last. She asks a few pertinent questions at the beginning just so she knows exactly what you need/are looking for. She really listens. I went in one week with tension in one shoulder and let her know that.
Rina is the best! After being recommended by another acupuncturist to have weekly treatments for my severe insomnia, I initially visited two other acupuncturists at different clinics.
Chronic pain and illness is difficult to bear alone. Here I don’t have to. When I arrive to my appointments I am met with a refreshing environment that brings me great peace. Rina is an excellent practitioner who listens to, tends and treats people with great dignity and caring.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
