I've been receiving acupuncture and cupping services from Dr. Tony for the past two 1/2 months. I initially went in to see if I could get help with issues with my neck, back and overall stress/anxiety. I can honestly say that I've never felt better physically and mentally!
I Have been wanting to try a form of alternative medicine for quite some time now. I finally found this clinic close to my house and I really enjoy seeing Dr. Tony! I I'm glad I chose acupuncture and cupping as a part of my self-healing journey.
I just stopped by to see what kind of services they offered but I was able get an appt right away (lucky me). I tried the acupuncture and cupping first time for both. I'm terrified of needles!!! My anxiety goes off the roof! But I was amazed that they didn't hurt at all.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
