I had been in pain for over 2 months before I came in for an appointment. I am from out of town and have a massage therapist back home, but Miguel has really gone above and beyond as a therapist.
Decided to book last minute as I’m from out of town and was able to get a same day appointment. I had a deep tissue massage and Miguel knew exactly where my pain was coming from and addressed it. He gave me pointers for stretching at home as well.
I have frozen shoulder so bad it has effected my muscles all over my body. The stress was built up and it kept me up all night. I got the integrated massage and the spa tent. I feel like I have been touched by heaven. I feel like Jell-O. Lol. I will be back. Miguel is amazing and very appreciated.
We were in town visiting family and I was really struggling with back pain. No trauma or injury, no known reason for sudden onset of pretty significant pain. I am normally pretty active. Miguel was fantastic. He has knowledge and experience that he willingly shares.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
