From the reviews
Great experience with Dr. Brad Bowen! I am a high level high school athlete and had a bit of a hamstring issue mid season. He got me in ASAP and performed some treatment like cupping therapy and assessed my weaknesses to give me quality worthwhile exercises.
After living with knee pain for over a year, I finally decided to see a physical therapist. Brad identified the problem within minutes. After just a few sessions—focused on retraining my movement patterns—I was completely pain-free and able to return to activities I had been avoiding for months.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Brad. I’ve been dealing with lower back/SI joint pain for about a year now. After trying several different treatment options, I decided it was time to go to physical therapy. During the initial 1:1 session, Dr.
Dr. Bowen’s approach is the most thorough physical rehab process I’ve ever experienced. It starts with a 90 minute session to properly diagnose you and then treat you as needed. Follow up sessions are 60 minutes. Each of my sessions were a combination of testing movements, manual therapy, and exercise.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
